CurlyBuddha.com began in 2014 as a personal blog and virtual velvet couch upon which to take a much-needed rest - from digital overstimulation, from the mundane, and from ongoing cultural misrepresentations of Black womanhood.

The name “Curly Buddha” came about as a result of founder Elizabeth Price’s longtime passion for and exploration of Eastern teachings of spirituality.
